Please note: Many of our vases are handmade and therefore have variations in their opening dimensions. Also, not all vases are watertight, as some are only decorative in nature. Please refer to each product for specifics.
1. The finest crystal vases are made with lead, which imparts a greater brilliance, weight, and reflective quality.
2. Hand-cut crystal is designed by using a spinning carborundum wheel. The artist painstakingly moves the vase to cut the design into the glass.
3. Cased crystal features layers of colored glass that are fused to a base of clear glass for a brilliant rainbow of color.
4. Mouthblown crystal vases are subject to "bubbles" or "seeds." These are not flaws but are a distinguishing quality of a unique handmade piece.
5. Caring for crystal: Dust your crystal vase with a soft cloth and remove your rings when washing to avoid scratches.
6. An art glass vase is usually handmade, mouthblown glass for decoration.
7. Glass blown vases are shaped from molten glass when the artists blow air into them through a tube. 8. An Eiffel Tower vase is mouthblown and features a very tall, narrow shape for a dramatic bouquet presentation at wedding receptions or parties.
